Don't bother with Gigant Battle, it doesn't have Robin Franky or Brook as playable characters and there's a followup coming soon (for the DS! which is still region free) with the timeskip versions and all 9 Strawhats as playable!

Is it coming out in the US, or at the least an english speaking country? I've no use for a next version if it's another 6 month wait on any form of english language version, I may as well pass some time with Gigant waiting on it.

It's a fighting game, what do you need English for? It's not like there won't be FAQs telling you what the menus mean (if they're not english by default)

Unfortunately, OP doesn't have the same pull that "lowest common denominator"s Naruto and Bleach have in the US, so an english release is unlikely. I saw Best Buy selling Japanese Jump Ultimate Stars a few years back, but your hang up seems to be English itself not easy availability.
I'd like to think that the 3DS Unlimited Cruise would sell well enough (it's not like there's much competition aside from the newly released StarFox) but what do I know,I'm just a fan of the property. -------------------- |

Yeah, regardless of understanding gameplay or knowing where a particular arc is going, I still like being able to read the in game text. I played and beat JUS in Japanese, but once I got an english patch and could actually read all the text(thus far save for the quiz), it gave it some nice replay value as I could actually build a "deck" based on effective combinations instead of just "Luffy, smash everything!" or relying on a FAQ(not always readily available when out and about) to find out what a stage goal was/is. Maybe some day I'll have the time/money to learn Japanese proper, until then I'll stick with localizations in some format. |

Chapter came out early this week! Looks like VanDer Decken is out for the count.

I liked this week's chapter, things are definitely moving along quickly now.
HIGHLIGHT to view: I was a little disappointed that Zoro intercepted the attack on Robin, it seemed like she was about to demonstrate why he wasn't a problem for her. |

I'm interested in seeing how the fights play out, but am a bit disappointed that Nami or Robin don't have anyone to fight.
