According to what I've read, the Iron Patriot suit is just War Machine in 4th of July paint job.
Ironbite-looks horrible. -------------------- |

More like speculation than spoilers, innit? I mean, unless you haven't seen the movie yet. |

Looking at that "hall of armor" photo... did Stark reclaim the MKI from Stane, and then make a duplicate MKII for posterity's sake, or something?

I'd imagine he grabbed back he Mark I for sure after the Monger fight. It was in the lineup in the 2nd film. As far as the Mark II.... and I just realized the original Mark II is now War Machine. Guess after Pepper saved him with her sentimentality by giving him his old Arc chest piece he pry got a good sense to keep some old things around after all. Wouldn't be too hard for him to recreate it I guess. -------------------- |

He definitely grabbed the Mark 1 back before Iron Man 2; it probably wasn't too hard either given it was on Stark Industries property and SHIELD was the authority investigating the Stane incident.
I'm going to wager the Mark II seen in the Iron Man 3 shot is going to be CG'd into a hologram in the final movie. |

Yeah, I'd forgotten that the MKI made its appearance in IM2.

Dammit, dammit, dammit, dammit. I was hoping I could skip this. But it's too cool of a collector's item for me to ignore. :S This post has been edited by Undead Scottsman: Jul 11 2012, 01:29 PM |

Unless that bonus disc is something insane, I'm easily skipping it with no qualms.

I'd have no idea what to do with something like that, and if I wanted a replica of the Tesseract I'd be more inclined to buy a high-quality authorized one from a prop replica company rather than something cheap that's thrown in with an overpriced boxset. Anyway, that thing won't fit on my shelf with the other Blu-Rays... it's like the Blade Runner briefcase set, which I also skipped; too much of a pain in the butt.
I'm going with the special metal case being offered at Future Shop here in Canada: (IMG:http://www.futureshop.ca/multimedia/Products/500x500/M21/M2199/M2199071.jpg) (IMG:http://www.futureshop.ca/multimedia/Products/500x500/M21/M2199/M2199071_1.jpg) (IMG:http://www.futureshop.ca/multimedia/Products/500x500/M21/M2199/M2199071_2.jpg) Fits on my shelf, at least; and if it's anything like the other Disney metal cases I have, it'll have cool embossing. Disney doesn't use Ultraviolet, as far as I know.

Future Shop, you know how to take my money. I don't even have a blu-ray player. It includes a DVD, so at least you'll be able to make use of that part of it along with the digital copy and soundtrack download redemption. -------------------- ![]() |

I reeeeeeally don't want to go through 35 pages of discussion. So I beg your forgiveness if I retread things that have already been mentioned (which after 35 pages, I'm sure is a downright certainty).
So, anyway, I missed this in the theater. So tonight was the first time I've seen it. I saw it there at the local Toys R Us, had a nifty sale going on with a $5 gift card on top of that. I'd seen Iron Man 1&2, Thor, Captain America and the two Hulk movies. But like I said, I hadn't seen this one before. Not having seen it before, I was planning on seeing it on Netflix before buying it. But then I saw on the case that Joss Whedon directed it. Yeah...bought! Okay, so...the movie. Holy...freaking...crap! This really had me hooked from beginning to end. I didn't know anything at all about Black Widow except for a rather small part in Iron Man 2. I didn't know anything about Hawkeye except for what I could only call a cameo in Iron Man 2. But that first scene with Black Widow and I absolutely loved her. I absolutely love how she interrogates people. I love her fighting. I love everything about her. Cobie Smulders is in this movie? Big "How I Met Your Mother" fan right here. Talk about a geek out moment right there. I'm so used to seeing her doing comedy. But wow! She does some amazing work in action. I'm impressed. Iron Man is of course, Iron Man. Being my more favorites of the movies that led into this one, any moment with Downy in it was pure gold. After two movies, they finally got the Hulk right. I loved the Bruce Banner side. While watching it, I thought they took maybe a little too long to show us the Hulk. But when they finally did do the transformation, it made the wait so worth it. Okay, I could spend all night gushing about this, but I'm sure y'all are bored reading this already. But I just want to say one more thing, one little moment that I just absolutely loved. The part where the police man asked Captain America why he should listen to him, then Captain America shows him exactly why he should listen...I was smiling ear to ear. So many lesser movies I've seen just have the cops take the hero at their word. Like, sure, why not. I'll listen to you. After all, the movie's named after you, I should definetly take your orders. It was so cool to actually see a policeman actually question the guy. One of many favorite moments I just had to bring up. Oh yeah, Thanos. I was watching this with my parents, who aren't really comic readers. I think they liked the movie, but didn't quite get why I was grinning when I saw that. But yeah...I can't wait to see where this leads. -------------------- |

Just a head's up, the first Hulk movie isn't in continuity with the Avengers series; just the Incredible Hulk (the Edward Norton one) is.
