Pros: + The Mane Six together for the first time since + Major Fluttershy cutness that seems to be done to make up for her two episode. Her excitement at Dash wanting her pet was super-adorable! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-silverbolt.gif) + Really epic musical number, even better that Dash gets more song time. + Some nice pet interaction with the other mane characters. + Really cool race scene. + Tank the Tortoise having helicopter blades is actually pretty cool and makes the mostly predictable plot worth it. Cons: - The predictability of Tank being the pet. Right when he walked into the number I knew who will be the winner at the end and now the episode becomes a waiting game for the predictable conclusion. A bit boring at times, still I like it. All the mane 6 were present and we got a brilliant song after 7 episodes of none. Well worth the wait. The ending wasn't surprising. The whole episode seemed like a different take on the Tortoise and the Hare, where slow and steady won the race. Putting a helicopter rotor on Tank the Tortoise was unexpected, but awesome. I loved Rainbow Dash's "Dun Dun DUUUUUN!" in the gorge. Is the song based on an existing song? --------------------

Wasps. Wasps are awesome. And RBD agrees. I like her a lot more now~ Btw, I very much appreciate the immense accuracy of the wasp's anatomy. Whoever made her, great job~ Yellow-striped bats... That's what 1960s's Batman was lacking XD Violent Opalescence becomes scarier with every iteration :< lol @ the turtle trying to look cooler with the sunglasses ^^ Obviously, we already knew the episode's outcome once he entered the scene durign the song. But hey, why not Getting a pet is SERIOUS BUSINESS. Interesting way of bringing that lesson home It appears that managing to become Rainbow Dash's pet automatically qualifies you for the olympics. Rainbow Dash is such a dick :< <Fluttershy> Should we sing again? lol'd Also, why the hell did the show lose it's E/I when it goes to such length to depict animal's specialities with such remarkable accuracy? No obvious mistakes that I could spot. Even the Red-Tailed Hawk's scream was properly associated with it rather than with the eagle (As Hollywood would do it). Some serious research done here Also, in the end, a nice way to bring the lesson home that one's pet doesn't have to be exotic to be great~ FiM to protect exotic and difficult to keep animals from happy suburban families during christmas time~ Btw, I noticed that the Hub finally used some higher-profile commercials. A good thing, I imagine. By and large... Awesome episode. In fact, Brilliant Episode. Loved every second of it, despite Rarity barely featuring.
