Not quite what I expected.
-------------------- You're turning into the real-life version of that little devil that hovers over people's shoulders and tells them to do horrible things. I'm not liking this development. Lesson of the day, when we go on some crazy quest, don't let Fnu Aw hold the Dues Ex Magical Artifact. Right, that's it. Tomorrow, I'm painting a giant pentagram on the floor, then buying a goat and sacrificing it to Fnu Aw, Lord of All Evil. |

Very cool. Was going to buy them, put a few orders in my cart, saw they wanted 37$ shipping, no sale!

Do they have Hot Topic in Canada? You might want to get them in person, then.

Just got a pair today. I was going to get one of those "This T-Shirt is now 20% cooler" shirts, but they didn't have any in XL...so I settled for the sunglasses. Pretty cool...and subtle enough that I can wear them out in public without people finding out I like MLP.
Edited to add: 37$ shipping? Are they crazy? That's more than twice what the glasses alone cost!. There's got to be another way. This post has been edited by Caldwin: Jun 11 2012, 04:59 PM -------------------- |

That is insane; USPS rates for something that small to Canada shouldn't be much more than they are to the US. And if they're using UPS or some other courier, it's definitely not worth the price as you'd probably get another $40 or so charge in "brokerage" fees, lol. Anyway, I can't wear non-prescription sunglasses since I'm not in the habit of wearing contacts. And I already have a very nice pair of prescription sunglasses that cost quite a bit, and it'd be silly to forgo those in favour of a cheapo plastic pair like those.

Yeah, I can definetly understand that. I used to wear glasses and it was always a pain going out in the sun. Prescription sunglasses cost too much and those little clip-on things always brought on comparisons to "Different World."
I've had Lasik though, so yay! I never spend more than $20 for a pair of sunglasses. Even the cheapest cheap pair blocks the same amount of UV. It's just fashion after that. -------------------- |

I got a Raindow Dash shirt from Hot topic, did I show you guys that yet? Because I like to show off my pony stuff. =p
Heck, you can just give me the money and I can buy them for you and I can drive it to Canada and drop it in the first mailbox I see for half that price in under 20 minutes. Canada is super easy to sneak into as long as you don't take the bridge or underpass. -------------------- I find you to be a valuable member of the community. ... That...makes sense. Your theory is fairly well thought out, and definitely sounds like it could work. Holy crap! That's very haunting. I must fav that! That just replaced my other Luna fav. |

Nah, Pocket had it right, lol. We make ponies here, after all (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-arcee.gif) . Even Tara Strong owes us her allegiance; she was born in the same city I was.

Well I also ordered a Sailor Moon poster, t-shirt and lanyard but still, nothing justifies that cost. The poster might have been the big one. Might try again with less items later but I recall buying 4 t-shirts from them earlier in the year and paying more than the cost of one of the shirts in shipping alone. -------------------- |
