So they haven't gotten rid of that irritating kid yet? Damn.

If you're talking about Bumblebee, no.

If you're talking about Sari: Come on, lay off her. She's the best human character we've had in one of the toons. Even the comics. And she pulls more weight on the team than any of the other humans have, ever.

Even as a kid, I never understood or enjoyed the irritating self-insertion characters they'd put in these cartoons. Why are giant robots from another world hanging around an unsupervised 8 year old? Why do they let her keep a super-powered key that makes machines do wacky jive?

Even as the "best" human character we've ever had in the cartoons, Sari's still abrasive and painful to watch or listen to. If they had her killed by an errant energy blast or something it might provide the kiddies the most poignant lesson about death since Code of Hero from Beast Wars.

1984: The Autobots saved Sparkplug and Spike from the burning oil rig, and the two returned the favor shortly after when Spike pulled Hound out of the water. The Autobots eventually came to value Sparkplug's mechanical skills and Spike's ingenuity, especially when coupled with Chip's know-how.

1985: Raul just kinda happened to be in the right spot at the right time; he also had the guts to stand up to the Decepticons. Carly was Spike's main squeeze and so they tolerated her.

1986 - 1987: Spike and Carly are now diplomats, so their little brat warrants security protection.

1988: Cancer was Giga and Mega's adopted son, with the other two being his hooligan friends. Metalhawk apparently felt responsible for Shuta, while Minerva and Cab ended up in the middle.

1989: Jean was legally adopted by Saber.

1990: Kain got his planet wiped out, and Akira was also apparently caught up in things.

2000: The Autobots apparently felt responsible for Koji since his dad was kidnapped by the Predacons.

2002: Like it or not, the three kids did activate the mini-cons and do have a rapport with the little fellows. As such, Prime tolerated them for the sake of the mini-cons.

2004: Kicker could actually hold his own in a fight provided that he wasn't going emo, and had the gall to stand up to Alpha Q. Misha was both Dr. Jones' apprentice and Kicker's lady-love, so it was inevitable that she get involved. And Sally's being a brat ensured her getting into trouble no matter what people did.

2006: Coby was able to fix up Landmine, earning Prime's respect. After that, the kids helped the Autobots set up shop on Earth and so the Autobots apparently felt like they owed them.

25th Anniversary line =/= Universe. Right? So they're not violating their rule.

I thought the 25th Anniversary line was part of Universe?

True. The 25th Anniversary line is the Universe line with an extra logo in the corner of the packaging.

Out of curiosity, what else has S250 correctly predicted? I'm not doubting him, just wondering. =3

I believe he revealed stuff about Sentinel Prime and Ultra Magnus before.

Yeah, spring is more likely (though the toys probably won't hit till fall 09...), though YTV *did* say they had new Animated episodes for Fall 08...

I want them as soon as possible.

They could just air one new episode a month for all I care.

'Sides, in response to the original issue of "Can there be two Cyclonus toys," who can say when Animated Cyclonus is even coming out relative to 25th Cyclonus? So far all we have is a name, and not even a set-in-stone U.S. airdate for s3; moreover, there's no solid predicting whether he would show up early or late in the season 3-related toy roster Could very well be spaced fairly far apart from Universe Cyc.

After all, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the issue was Hasbro not wanting two similar-looking characters, with the same names to boot, to be on shelves at the same time (Makes perfect sense), not that Hasbro was only ever going to sell one incarnation of a character, either releasing it through Animated or Universe.

For instance, sure, we don't know when or if the Ratchet we've seen in prototype Henkei form is being sold as a Universe release, but I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro does bring him out; any reasons related to wanting to use his new tooling aside, consider that by the time a prospective Universe Ratchet came out, Animated Ratchet would be fairly far in the past, release-wise. (He was Animated deluxe wave 2, after all, which has already been out for awhile.)

I figure they'll do a deluxe Classics Jazz* sooner or later, too...or an Animated Ironhide for that matter. It's just a matter of waiting until the counterpart from the Classics or Animated-verse has been out awhile.

*Primus willing!

Because we saw what happened when the autobots took the key away. *Megatron Returning* Besides.. When your life source/god gives something to the kid, are -you- going to argue? And the reason she was unsupervised *season 2 only BTW* was because her father was kidnapped. Duh.

Because plot point, damnit. Having Sari be the only one that can keep the key safe makes no sense at all. It's plot convenience, and makes no sense.

An interesting thought occurs.......mayhaps the character George Tekai plays is...Cyclonus. Would be a nifty indirect nod to Nimoy as Galvatron in the 86 movie.

"Oh my!"
Are we actually getting Tekai?

Hey, are there any characters we THOUGHT we'd be getting but we haven't heard of?

I'm not sure about Cancer beign Mega and Giga's adopted Son, unless that happen later on. In the early episodes they seemed like some hoods that the Deceptico got becuase they wanted power. As for Shuta, Metalhawk didn't want him involved, but as his Father was workign with the Autobots, and then gets killed by Blood; that leaves Metalhawk as his guardian. Cab gets sent to Japan to got to a good school; and is in custody of the Autobots since they saved his life. Minerva did really get cuaght up in the middle.

I just hope they can get his Voice Actor back, as I believe he does/did Grandpa Max in the Ben 10 series; if so he's not out of the question of being able to get.

The comics that were released alongside the series made Cancer's status more explicit.

One issue actually involves him angsting about their not wanting him to go back to China to celebrate New Year's; before Mega can explain that she wanted the three of them to celebrate it together as a family, Cancer runs off and gets caught up in a battle.
