Next Headrobots release, Blood - Upgrade kit for Bludgeon Options

I want my Whirl head, and the cannons to convert that Wreckage toy, dangit! Seriously, it's almost like this kit disappeared completely.

Probably got cancelled due to lack of interest.

Well I wanted one! I HATE the voyager mold, though this does improve it quite a bit

Can I still find Bludgeon in stores at this point, or will I have to get banzaitron and call him bludgeon though? hmm...

You may want to check Toys R Us as they've been getting in waves with Bludgeon/Recon Ironhide and Mindwipe/Gray Optimus.

Let me double that Toys R Us recommendation. I was in there recently and they had a pile of new "old" stock. I'm still amazed at how many pegs were packed full of Animated, but point being I did see more than a few Bludgeons in the RotF section. Probably more than I ever saw since his release.

I can third that recommendation. I just saw a couple of Bludgeons, about 5 Bonzaitrons, and a TON of TF Animated on the pegs. Oh, and i saw 34 more cases of TF Animated on the very top still unopened.

yes. THIRTY. FOUR. CASES. all looked to be wave 09 or wave 10. Not even sure what's in that assortment.

That's a good question. Wave 7 Revision 1 appears to be the older stuff that's been coming out alongside the exclusive deluxes, and I don't even see wave 8+ listed on Entertainment Earth's site.

Darn, I have G1 Bludgeon's sword modelled by a friend in 3D, just lacking the printer to make it. They beat me to it. I really don't see why the ROTF one needs new swords, though. The current ones have an ugly color, but work and look just fine. As for paint peeling... I have seen Banzai-tron swords, they have a metallic coating and it doesn't peel off at all.

The Price is extremely reasonable and it looks like a nice set. I'll wait for Final Product Colors on the Stormbringer Head. The G1-esque Head kinda looks stupid in my opinion, but that Stormbringer inspired Bludgeon Mug I think would look nice.

yeah, i looked at EE, and didn't see anything after 8 either. Maybe it has to do with the Animated exclusives that TRU is getting? If so, then that's a whole lot of Arcee, Ironhide and Rodimus Minor cases up there.

Probably referring to the year of release. Hasbro's shipping cases reset the wave number each year. Not that this helps figure out what's inside much.

Personally, I want a Banzaitron head. He craves one, but this Bludgeon is good, rationalities be damned.

This. I like Bludgeon's head, it works for him. While it can kinda works of Banzai-tron it favors Bludgeon much more.

The only I really want are the swords for Bludgeon, so I don't have to deal with the real ones bending out of shape all the time.

Although I do agree that the existing head works pretty well, but it'll be nice to have the option to go G1 slavish regardless of how much sense it makes. For the price, this is pretty impossible for me to pass up. I really love these head upgrades we're seeing recently(Hardhead, Venksta's customs, etc). I too wonder how they're going to handle chroming the sword and not have the turret scrape it all off. The description at BBTS says it has a "finish".

I posted in the kitbash forum, but wanted to follow up here too because I remember it being a topic in a thread in the normal discussion forum:

I recently bought a Super Robot Red Baron gashapon which came with a jetpack that the figure *has* to wear in order to balance the standing pose. Problem was the jetpack was bent into all weird positions. So I boiled some water, dipped the parts, and was able to form it back into its original shape.

While I was doing this, I remembered Bludgeon's sword, and gave it a good hot water boil dip. The sword went limp as a noodle for a bit, and it quickly cooled back into a straight shape. I thought that might have worked, but over the course of the day, it started bending back into a "C", although not as bad. So I gave it another boil dip, only this time after it was shaped straight, I put it in the freezer, and pulled it out of there about an hour later. That was a few days ago, and the sword appears to have held its straight shape since.

Funny, I dye Transformers (thus immersing them in boiling dye bath) but somehow I am more apprehensive about normal boiling water.

The worst that I've seen happen with mine is that it will bend slightly downward with gravity depending on how I have him posted, but it will bend back naturally over time. I have a second set of weapons that I picked up from someone in a trade, and only one of my two swords tends to bend, I've noticed. I can't imagine it going toward resembling a "C".
