I wonder how hard it would be to design a peg adapter and put it through Shapeways. ...for someone who has some ability to do 3D modeling, I mean.

Yeah he looks neat. The Hasbro one is like how he was when he was first assembled and the Takara one is like how he is after fighting for years and years.

Not sure if it was linked yet, but on the official Takara site, they show the rocket launcher minicon repaint with a red face, and the machine-gun armed one with silver face, in more G1 accurate colors. Cybertron Blurr can't hold Caliburste/Haywire as a gun and is a pretty jivey figure by today's standards. He was pretty jivey back during Cybertron too, before the string of more complex and better quality figures too.
