Actually got this issue relatively early for me, so I thought I'd start the thread. Contents:

-Lengthy recitation of what happened at BotCon.

-Side Burn has amnesia.

-Fizzle is now called Blaze.

-Hubcap has persuasion powers thanks to forestonite.

-Nebulans are still green, including appearances by Hi-Q and Hi-Test.

-Brilliant line by Carly Witwicky: "It's always nice to see a familiar face...that doesn't break off and turn into a person."

-Jhiaxus created evil Go-Bots, including NIGHTRACER!

-Windbreaker is apparently related to Windcharger.

-Flamefeather is a "raid-planner".

-Allspark Addendum for Blot, Sky-Byte and Mindwipe as explained by Starscream, Strika and Megatron, and Ironfist giving a weapons evaluation for Blot, Strika, Mindwipe and Oil Slick.

-SG Ravage's further adventures in the positive universe's Earth, teaming up with Blaster, Stripes, and some other Autobot Mini-Cassettes including Blockrock!...he's so lonely...

-And lastly, TFIQ makes further efforts to explain WTF the Constructicons' origin is in the cartoon, guest-starring everyone's favorite runner-up, Erector!

I'm trying to figure out who they all are. My guesses are:

In the CR tanks:
Black Viper (the mold eventually used for RID Side Burn)
Rumble
GTP Racer
Greasepit

Next to Jhiaxus:
Frenzy
Mirage

Foreground:
Soundwave
Nightracer
Ironhide
Bumblebee

I'm a little uncertain about Soundwave and Bumblebee, since the former is drawn with an actual face and no awesome hood-deco, and the latter ought to be gold and black instead of yellow and blue, but I can't think of any better matches.

Interesting that so many of them are G1 characters, including several Autobots. If not for Soundwave and Bumblebee, I would wonder if they were supposed to be resurrected TFTM-deaths. Maybe there'll be a joke down the road about the names being up for grabs? (Though Soundwave doesn't really work for that either... and of course Rumble and Frenzy were never seen to die, and they showed up in Headmasters, but this is a slightly different universe anyway... eh, I don't know.)

I find Nightracer's hyper-feminine design a little off-putting when she's right next to a bunch of other characters who ought to have the same body-type. I think much subtler changes could've gotten the point across effectively without being so jarring.

I am not looking forward to the wiki having to split these guys off into their own pages.

With any luck, they'll have new names in the comic, and you'll get to just say the toys were repurposed. But yeah, if they end up having the same names as other characters but with different personalities... I guess the toys would go on both pages, since the toy bios were clearly describing the older characters? Unless, heh heh, they're clones with effectively the same personalities, except loyal to Jhiaxus. Probably not worth thinking too much about until we see where their story goes.

Oh, and I'm even more sure now that that's Soundwave because judging by his box-art, the toy actually DOES have a face - it just doesn't photograph well.

Not to mention the G1/BW distinctions the Wiki needs to make for Cheetor and Tigatron now, thanks to a certain Recordicons strip...

No we don't. BW/G1 are the same continuity family, nor do those versions of Cheetor and Tigatron chronally overlap with any other version of themselves. Classics Earth reeeeeeeally can't eventually become Beast Wars at this point. So Cheetor and Tigatron would stay on their own pages, same as the Device Label toys that are already there. (The ones that interact with Blaster, putting them in a G1 timeframe anyway.)

Device Label Cheetor and Tigatron were already marketed with Device Label Blaster.

And Henkei! Cheetor is already a Cheetor in G1 times, and his section's just at the bottom of the BW Cheetor page.

-Fizzle is now called Blaze.

This was mentioned in the Fleetway comic's letter page according to the tfwiki. Is Blaze the new name for Fizzle's new G2 color scheme or is Blaze still thought of as a seperate character as the tfwiki currently says?

They seem to be the same guy. Spike introduces Fizzle to his family, but half-way through saying his name, corrects himself by saying "Blaze."

When I asked Pete at Funpub he said it was the Fizzle character's G2 form, not a new character.

Just picked this up today; I rather enjoyed this. I'm happy to see the G2 Redux stuff followed up on/folded into this. I haven't been able to follow things too closely, but what I do see is pretty cool. Go-Bots!

On another note, the last issue I got before this was #43. I think I may have missed one before that too. Can/should I contact the club to remedy this?

Contact Angie@FunPubInc.com and see if she can do anything for you. I'm not sure how it works with international members, but members in the US usually get 1 or 2 remailings if they have difficulty receiving an issue.

Took a while, but this issue arrived in the mail today, crushed. Some things I noticed:

Pyro's crew consists of Blaze, Hubcap, Streetstar and Sideswipe. Sideswipe is not only in G1 colors, but is clearly the G1 animation model again.

ON Nebulor we see GREEN skinned Hi-Q, Nebulan sicentist in what I guess is the city of Fortress Maximus, and his assistant Hi Test. Spike lives in the city too.

Standing in the last panel are indeed some of the remaining Gobot models, which Jhaixus made using the Generation 2 technology. Definitely recognize Gobot Ironhide, Soundwave, Frenzy and Mirage.

The Recordicons comic confirms the survival of some more characters alve from the Classicverse - namely Cheetas, Tigatron, Stripes and Blockrock.
