Sooo... Random thought on another subject... We have Bludgeon. If we do get an Octopunch at the Con... Do we have any molds that would make a passable Stranglehold? -ZacWilliam, Voyager Rhynox wherefortartthou... Killerpunch. It will totally work. Too short. His "Brothers" are all Voyagers and he should be too. Also not a rhino. |

Bludgeon, Octopunch, and Stranglehold were a team that often worked together. (They were members of the Mayhem Attack Squad.) They didn't interact much with the other Pretenders. -------------------- |

Found the sketch I drew back in 2010 of the alternate Jazz head they showed at the Hasbro panel. Let's see how good I did.

Toys like Treadshot and Magnus are creating difficulty for me as an archivist. Normally, I say when a BotCon toy has a remolded head, but these heads that have never been seen at retail before (yet apparently weren't designed by the FP folks) create a new category. And my current attempt at a "footnote" for Magnus really doesn't work for the far-right column of the datasheet.
Darn you, FP! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-arcee.gif) -------------------- |

Still, FP chose these molds, and not some others. Not that I'm really upset at FP for this, of course. -------------------- |

Instead of calling it a "new head," how about a "previously unreleased head"? After all, you didn't say G2 Breakdown had a "new paintscheme," because it was the same paintscheme that had always been planned but was previously unreleased. -------------------- The TFWiki: when just five Infernos aren't enough. http://www.tfwiki.net

Anyway, I'm somewhat surprised hasbro let fb use those heads since they haven't used them yet themselves. |

QUOTE Unlike Bludgeon and Thunderwing (and presumably Octopunch), Stranglehold is one Pretender where I hope none of his shell's design elements are incorporated into a new figure. I get all the half-nekkid man-toys I need from He-Man. C'mon, if the other two have Shell elements worked into their update then Stranglehold should too! I know, lets merge shell and robot traits! Shell body with Robot Rhino head! He can have a vendetta against turtles too! No! Rhino body with Burt Reynolds head! I demand it. (Or at least give the rhino a mustache!) -------------------- |

After all, you didn't say G2 Breakdown had a "new paintscheme," because it was the same paintscheme that had always been planned but was previously unreleased. I'm not entirely sure how to respond to that, as you don't seem to be referencing anything that I've actually done on the page over the past few years. Why would I reference a "new paintscheme" (for any figures) anyway? (To say nothing of the fact that the page covers three distinct G2 Breakdowns. But it's clear enough that you mean the first) When I set that part of the page up, it was intended to be a reflection of the extra effort (beyond that already required just to have a new figure made in the first place) that went into certain toys. Not just remolded heads (the most common, certainly), but other newly-created parts, as well. -------------------- |

Well, then unless Ultra Magnus uses a completely new head, there is no extra effort (as the head was already engineered, one assumes) that went into the figure. |

And if I emphasize the word "for" in the heading "Any remolding/retooling done for exclusive?" (as it appears on the relevant column of the datasheet), it's fairly obvious that no such remolding for the exclusive has been done. Thanks for helping me do what I should have done already. Will make the updates (and reflect Treadshot) before the night is out. -------------------- |
