I know some Starscreams have switched sides with moderate success, but I can't really see how this particular Starscream would pull it off. Or how the Prime Autobots would even consider letting him onside.

Ooo, now we're shaking things up.

So, Starscream is off on his own now. Intrigue. Opportunity for growth. We haven't seen Optimus in a while, so I like what they did with him in this episode. But I'd still like a bit more. His stern attitude towards Arcee was a step towards moving away being a piece of furniture at the base that will occasionally say something wise.

Now that Starscream has struck off on his own, he'll probably be getting tangled up with MECH. The 'bots and 'cons have somewhere hidden to run away to, but he has nowhere to go.

The dedication of today's episode... Is this the brother that Peter Cullen said he patterned Optimus's voice after?

It was a fantastic episode. The scene where Arcee talked to Cliffjumper's grave was particularly delightful. I'm glad that he hasn't been forgotten.

Awful lot of brutalizing of femmebots in the episode. Bumblebee punched Airachnid in the face and Starscream beat the scrap out of Arcee. That made me a bit uncomfortable. It's all completely justifiable plot-wise, but this is still a cartoon aimed at kids. Maybe it's not a good idea to teach little Billy that it's okay to punch his sister in the face.

Has the Megatron/Airachnid shipping begun yet?

Optimus speaks in platitudes.

The lost weapon of the week came from somewhere this time. It wasn't just lying around randomly.

So why did the Autobots just leave Starscream out in the desert?

I'm reminded of Beast Wars' run on Fox where they censored every single contact blow. Guess things change.

It's gotta be the same one. As soon as it came on screen I read it and was saddened to know that the man that Peter Cullen patterned all of Optimus Prime after (voice, mannerisms, quietness, loyalty, strength) had passed.

Of course the show goes on a month long break as soon as it starts getting good. That was two awesome episodes in a row.

Starscream going rogue was an excellent move, but I thought Arcee was going to do him in. But then seeing Bumblebee staring at her - top notch.

The weird part is Starscream seemed actually sincere about leaving the Cons until Arcee was ready to murder him.

About the only negative thing I can say is that Optimus was dull as usual. Bumblebee wasn't obnoxious this episode (completely silencing him works a LOT better than those beeps).

Also, NO KIDS WOO

Not bad. I really liked 'Screamer's speech at the end, though.

Well it was STARSCREAM who hurt Arcee, little Billy want's to be BUmblebee, not Starscream! That means kids only learned that SAD STARE works.

Excellent episode. Starscream is really getting tons of character development, and it's interesting. Also, loved how brutal the fight with Arcee was.

Sentinel Prime might've been saved if only Bumblebee had arrived in time to stare.

Starscream needed to be built back up a bit after last week. I thought he was going to clean the floor with Arcee, but at least he gave a good fight.

Was the lipsynching off for anyone else? There seemed to be an odd disconnect between the voices and the stuff on screen for me.

Lip-synch was off for me too, in fact, animation for the whole episode felt off.

I think it was the weird dusk lighting they were going for once they reached that rock arch. Made everyone look slightly off-colors and less integrated into backgrounds.

I loved this episode. I love it when Screamer grovels!

I also loved the fact that there were no kids in this one. Made me very happy.
Was a little upset with the weapon. Airachnid called it the immobilizer! Ha! I instantly said "Hey that's my Wheeljack's!" Also, the fighting with Airachnid and Arcee is getting a bir overdone now, I'm a bit bored with it.

I did love Bee's little trick there. What a sneaky little guy! That was great, giggle about that.

And I love Optimus, his little speaches of wisdom are always awesome, but again getting a bit overdone. He DOES have a personality, and I hope we see it soon.

Another fantastic episode. The fighting was brutal and Starscream never fails to impress. I honestly wondered if either Starscream or Arcee were going to die on this one. Glad to see Optimus and Bumblebee back in action. Also loved how BB tricked Airachnid. Things don't look like they'll bode well for Airachnid letting Starscream get captured (his escape currently unknown to the Decepticons).

Loved the mentioning of both Cliffjumper and Tailgate.

It does make me sad that Peter Cullen has lost his brother, who was the inspiration for the voice of Optimus Prime.

Randy
