If school doesn't hit me too hard this quarter I should be able to pitch in next week and at the end of the month. Love this.

Just for fun: we've currently raised about 0.62 Toy Fair catalogs or tfc (equal to USD$380) according to the widget, with a goal of about 13.16 tfc. For reference, last year we topped out at roughly 7.16 tfc, counting the 1 tfc that went towards the actual catalog.

I hope I can afford to chip in a little something after I get my tax refund.

I was wondering if you guys have a smaller static image banner? I'd love to give this a good pimping on my deviantART page, but you can't embed anything but plain links and images there.

Was there any money remaining from the Ron Friedman fund drive that can be donated to this, or has it already gone elsewhere?

I was still over at TFW when you guys did this last year... in addition to making cash contributions, could we put toys up on the auction block for the cause?

Oh, absolutely! Whatever you'd like to do to help raise money for this cause would be most gratefully accepted!

(short of prostitution and contract killing, of course - they're really not "in the spirit" here (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif) )

You besmirch the time-honored occupation of prostitution with your insinuations, sir.

Yeah, Galen can count my help out with that kind of attitude.

Awesome! My DA journal now has a new pimp section. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif) (I've also added in the quick-donation links manually.)

We've basically raised the same amount of money as it took to buy the catalog last year. In less than a day, and with fewer than a dozen people contributing so far.

This is why this community rocks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-ironhide.gif)

We are Awesome! Woot! I'm gonna give out Transforming Mecha Ponies* to all who donate!

* Transforming Mecha Ponies are nonexistent and come in a make believe box full of child like happy thoughts in the shape of packing peanuts made of thin air.

Kinda poor this pay check, but I'll try to toss in 10 or 20 bucks to the cause on the 15th.

That's awesome! And that's one of the reasons why we wanted to do this for a whole month - we didn't want to leave out anyone interested just because they didn't have money on hand that moment. A month is a long time, and means everyone has a chance if they're interested.

Fun fact: Last time, by far the majority of the donations (both in terms of quantity and median) were $5. That means that most of the money came from lots of small donations rather than a few big ones. Big ones help too, of course, but I mention this so that people know that every donation is important. Given a whole month, I hope people are able to find a few extra bucks to add to the total!
