My god, I've been trying to make that linkage myself for... God knows how long.

And now I can just go buy them? Don't know if awesome or angry.

Just need to rework the drive head to have a flat-bottom action, and I bet you could get those running at a good clip. (Flat bottom means it wouldn't have to lift its centre of mass each step, so less grind per step...)
