Huh?

I thought Japan didn't get BM molds until circa 2004 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-depth.gif)

I should clarify: the DVD's. Sorry. Was talking to the nurse while typing. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

They have different policies depending on the type of item. They won't sell you toys, unfortunately.

Weird. :/

I have their last case of deluxes in my cart and I'm really debating about whether to pull the trigger. Knowing the price jacked up $40 sucks but at the same time it might still be worth it. If I don't end up keeping Wheelie I have a feeling he'll be easy to find a home for...

I guess I'll wait and take my chances. There will be plenty of people in Asia plucking them off store shelves and putting them on eBay. And that's assuming we don't learn of some sort of American release at SDCC.

I really just want Wheelie, Swerve, Powerdive, and Hot Spot, I think.

The only ones I'm really eager for are Powerdive and Sandstorm. I'm not too optimistic about the latter seeing a domestic release, but the former?

I hugging swear, if I see one more

JUST ONE MORE

Springer that's not a triple-changer I'm going to visit Hasbro HQ, open my mouth as wide as the Abyss, and vomit napalm and angry bees all over everything they've ever loved.

...at least that's what my knee-jerk reaction is. Honestly movie Tomahawk is one of my favorite copter molds, and I think the Jazz mold suits Wheelie pretty well too. Highbrow as Powerdive and Inferno as Hot Spot are okay too but way too predictable, and Megadgeon and Bulkrawn kind of make my head hurt. So I dunno - I like most of them, but it might not be worth the trouble.

It would stop over half of the G1 characters from getting new toys repainted from unrelated characters if they had to retain their original gimmick each time.

I disagree that when it comes to repaints that combiners must always be combiners, triple changers must always be triple changers, headmasters must always be headmasters, etc...

The Asia exclusive Deluxes are fine to me. I hope to see clear images soon.

On the other side of that, however, we've gotten new molds for Astrotrain and Octane for Classics/Universe, and the Animated version of Blitzwing was a triple changer. Meanwhile, every new toy for Springer that's intended to be the G1 version has been a repaint of a pre-existing mold, and both Broadside and Sandstorm have effectively been forgotten. Seems kinda unfair, doesn't it?

I mean, I'm glad to be getting new toys, and I don't mind if a new version of an old character doesn't have all their old gimmicks. I just kinda wish that we'd get an acknowledgement or two of those old gimmicks in a new toy for said character is all.

My apologies for getting off-topic. Clear images are welcome. Carry on.

Well, decision made...I went to pull the trigger and now my cart is empty, so I guess I waited too long. Oh well!

It's not going to be for a while, but when I can afford it, if anyone still has an extra Springer, I'll gladly take it off your hands. While I do wish they'd come up with a triple-changing version, I like Tomahawk Springer much better than the Cybertron repaint, because HfoD mold looks much, much more like the Helicopter mode I know and love.
Of course if we do find out that he's being released domestically, next year, then that will make my poor wallet breathe a whole lot easier.
