last years botcon set had MORE bigger sized toys. 'More bigger sized toys'... 2009 gave us Flak and Landshark in the main set, Banzai-Tron in one at-con pack, and Razorclaw in another. Three Voyagers and an Ultra. 2010 is definitely giving us Spark (Voyager) and Clench (Ultra), and might be giving us Double Punch (Ultra). So yeah, we're getting less of the larger toys, but we're getting two Ultras rather than one. Given that, I can understand having fewer big guys. -------------------- William Rendfeld

Well, nice to have something approaching confirmation.
So, who bets that SG Wheeljack will be more popular than Slicer simply because he's Wheeljack? EDIT AFTER SEEING VEHICLE MODE PHOTOS: ...okay, so maybe he is Slicer. Hope there's an explanation for him sporting an Autobot logo. This post has been edited by Echowarrior: Jun 23 2010, 07:55 AM -------------------- William Rendfeld

Slicer/Wheeljack... his identity is still up in the air. SG colored Autobot insignia on his chest, large regular Decepticon insignia on the side... Maybe Slicer is and has always been SG Wheeljack. -------------------- |

Yeah, thats most likely whats going to happen. I'd laugh if they retcon G1 AM Slicer to have been SG Wheeljack too. |

Yeah, thats most likely whats going to happen. I'd laugh if they retcon G1 AM Slicer to have been SG Wheeljack too. That was my theory when we first heard of this. That Wheeljack escaped to our universe somehow, joined the Decepticons and upon learning there was/is an good Wheeljack, he uses the name Slicer to distant himself from his goody two shoes counterpart. -------------------- ***Signature removed by Staff due to size restrictions. Hm. having SG Wheeljack be Slicer is a pretty ideal solution.

Well, Slicer's crazy power armor would make more sense.

No comments on Double Punch's robot mode?
If this was a completely original color scheme, I'd probably find it quite ridiculous. Especially that pink head. But knowing that he's based on a European 1991 Action Master, it makes it a little more acceptable. I still think the pink head is ridiculous. Not dumb, just ridiculous... in a fun way. |

I'm on the fence as to whether I want to keep Double Punch. One one hand, I kind of like the homage. On the other hand, if they ever get around to making a Scorponok, I'll have 3 versions of this figures and I really only need Scorponok and Black Zarak around. But Double Punch is a character too...!

I think it really only works because there's so much black to help "absorb" it visually. If the black base color had been replaced with, say, the seafoam green of the original release, it wouldn't be nearly as appealing. And C16 - wasn't Double Punch originally just supposed to be a new toy for Black Zarak anyway? And, of course, if you equate those two, that would actually ultimately result in this being a toy of G1 This post has been edited by Octavius Prime: Jun 23 2010, 02:55 PM -------------------- |

A fan was swore up and down that G1 Scorponok from Energon Scorponok was being done by Hasbro for Generations, so that's why Doublepunch was done by the club.
Take that as you will, this was during the customization class. I have no idea who he was or if he posts here. Randy -------------------- ![]() |

Well, Double Punch We have heard about a scorpion, but I think we've all assumed that was DP by now |
