WTF is up with these shows?
Yesterday in American Dad Roger goes on a killing spree against collage boys who didn't pay him $20 for riding his limo it results in a funeral massacre and a passenger jet explosion, a couple of weeks ago they had a hot tub episode where several main characters including Stan and Francine were killed.
Meanwhile Family Guy usually the weakest came up with more character building as Kevin Swanson long thought dead returned during thanksgiving and it's revealed he went AWOL in Iraq, they also had a similar episode a few weeks ago with Quagmire and his abused sister where he kills her boyfriend. Even Meg got a chance to shine when she blasted the whole family about the abuse she has gotten from them in a hurricane crossover episode.

Sadly they have lost good Storytelling, and just are for Shock factor.

Honestly if it wsn't for Allen Gregory. The channel on Sunday night would be useless to me.

Yeah I only tune in for Allen Gregory. Simpsons has been bad longer than it's been good and Seth McFarlane just wants to push the envelope and kill cats rather than make jokes.

Simpsons was actually pretty good this week. Best out of all the shows.

I haven't watched Allen Gregory, and I probably won't since everyone else in my household called it gay (a term they don't use very often.)

I loved the episode. Great spoof of Ocean's Eleven and kid fantasy bookwriting. Plus, Neil Gaiman! ("And the best of it is, I CAN'T even READ!!!")

"Hey, before we re-wrote Twilight, it was about a teenage girl who falls in love with a golem."

I'm suprised at this too. I didn't even bother watching it because it looked pretentious.

Haven't gotten to watch sunday yet... but anyone watch the Time Travel episode of family guy?

Here's the clip he's referencing

I thought there would have been a bigger backlash to it.

This week:
American Dad - 8/10 for super panties, alien bounty hunters and Francine with a shotgun.
Family Guy - 6/10 mostly for Meg. Nice Rice Cake joke mind.
The Simpsons - 5/10 Remember when Mr Burns was evil? well not any more.

I tend to find that American Dad can go to dark places but is usually very clever and rewarding in how it does it. Compared to Family Guy which has generally just thrown out any hint of individual character, has everyone act like asses to one another and fills the rest of the time with pop culture jokes. Really was a show that had better writing when it was kept on a shorter leash and had to be clever.

As for The Simpsons, it's too busy going "We can still be relavent! What do kids like today? We can reference that!", like a genius professor that slipped into dementia in his later years.

I liked Family Guy, but I wish more of it was centered on Peter's diet.

Apparently there's a good chance Allen Gregory's dead in the water.

Better it than Bob's Burgers, I say.

It's a shame Simpsons doesn't have continuity. I kind of like the idea that Krusty moved on from his kids show.

God Family Guy was heavily padded. I hope the show's hints that The Cleveland Show is going to get cancelled are true. MacFarlane's crew seriously need to focus on just one show. They don't seem to be even trying anymore with Family Guy [like with last night's ending]. "Well, whatever we write is going to be tired and played out and probably horrible, so let's not bother."
