I've owned ROTF Legends Megatron for a while - I got it last summer not long after its release. While the alt mode is impressive, the bot mode seemed merely ok - the small feet, skkinny arms, and weird mouthplate that makes it look like he's screaming.

I noticed today that that black space on his face isn't a weird mouthplate at all. It's just his chin! This really has changed the figure overall for me; the face looks much better, much more like Megatron, and makes me appreciate at the to as a whole to a greater degree.

Ever had slight changes in perception like this that change your impression of a TF?

I've got a huge one. For litteraly years I thought Fort Max's head Cerebros looked awkward in bot mode, with the arms way too far forward. Always annoyed me. Then one day, after YEARS mind you, I pushed on them... and do you know they slide back into a much more normal looking position. doh.

I had Armada Unicron forever before I realized that his head could turn side to side.

For a while now I've wondered which one of Evac's previous altmodes was the one that the folded-up landing gear on his chest originally belonged to. At first I thought of that as just a tech-design chest.

Same situation, except with BW TM2 Ramulas.

After owning TM Tarantulas, and Fox Kids TM Tarantulas, it wasn't until I got Metals Tarantulas that I realized his shoulder joints moved forward locking his shoulder pads in place, and moving his arms into a more normal position. Really made a good figure great.

It wasn't until ROTF Armorhide that I realized Movie Landmine has rollerblades for feet. Why those can-feet of his had wheels was a complete mystery to me until I took a good look at Armorhide's instructions and saw that the rear alt mode wheels flip down and join them to make something functional.

I spent an hour or so mulling over how ridiculous Storm Surge's arms are... until I quite by accident slid back the part that makes his crab claw. Now they're still ridiculous, but it has a point.

Of course, the way I do things is to open the figure, try to figure it all out on my own, then go through it again to see if I missed anything. This in itself tends to have me miss something every now and then if I don't pay enough attention.

Realizing that I was about 80% right about Universe Galvatron's walking gun emplacement mode was somewhat rewarding. Don't think I'll ever figure out that shoulder hook, though.

It's either an artifact of the design that no longer works because of the changes made during its downsizing, or it's just purely aesthetic.

I just realized that Mini-con Dead End's top and bottom hemispheres can rotate, so that you can have his head sticking out to the rear of his alt mode. This may be something I realized back when I first got him, but if I did then I completely forgot. It's been a while since I've messed with him.

This isn't shown as the correct way to transform him in the instructions or on the box.....but it certainly seems like someone meant for it to be done. Else why mold it as two seperate plates connected by a central rivet?

So he can have aiming capability as a turret?

Movie 1 Leader Brawl's minigun on his left arm - didn't notice that for months. I blame the solid black plastic of the gun and what it's mounted on.

Took me a while to figure out that ROTF Legends Devastator has a waist hinge (in Overload) so he can crouch over like he does in the film.

I'd say "I found Animated Prowl's heel spurs" but they don't exist. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-waspy.gif)

but that pevlic tab he's got? fits into his toe for a smoother transformation under the nose of his cycle mode. took me like six months at least to figure that out. i nearly clipped it off in irritation so many times....

I thought about that, but he's already a ball with a round port, meaning he's completely rotateable in the first place. I think trying to twist the northern hemispheres around would put more stress on the peg than just rotating the entire ball.
