Fwiffo has found a new way to ruin threads. Here's a new one for the trailer and discussion of Disney's upcoming video-gamey "Wreck-It Ralph."

LOL, yay Fwiff. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-hotrod.gif)

My whole family will be there for this just for the video game homages. We're all gamers here. My 4 year old just watched the trailer and went "BOWSER! BOWSER'S in the movie!"

I know it's silly but every one of the "guest stars" made me smile. It's great to see some of them get Disney level CGI and dialogue. Hope there's a ton of them. The generic Zombie was kinda funny too. Smooshing Rampage and Donkey Kong together seems to have created a fairly authentic feeling early 80s era game.

Is it wrong to kinda hope this leeds to a Q-bert revival?

-ZacWilliam, was always inexplicably fond of Q-bert...

I think I'm duty-bound to see this movie, simply because it's probably the closest thing we'll ever get to a Kid Radd movie.

Oh yeah, I'm psyched. I know it's basically the plot of Megamind and Despicable Me but with video games instead of super villains, but that's fine. I can't stand Sarah Silverman, though. Was that her as the annoying little girl in Candy Land or wherever? Ugh.

But that's okay, because Zangief!

And I guarantee every video game company that decided to be spoilsports and decline cameo licenses will regret it later on, like when King Features refused Popeye for "Who Framed Roger Rabbit". Bad move; nothing but good can come of this.

Also, a Pixar trailer that tells you the actual PLOT of the movie! And that made me REALLY want to check it out!

Brave, why couldn't you manage that? I still don't know what that movie's about...

It's not a PIXAR movie, just straight up Disney.

I prefer trailers not giving away so much of the story. Had the trailer just been the "Bad Anon" meeting, I'd have been sufficiently stoked.

If they somehow manage to get a ReBoot reference in there in regards to Game Hopping, I will flip my jive for eternity!

Anywho: I heard about this, and after seeing the trailer, I'm super gonna see it. Eggman? Bowser? Pac-Man Ghost? Other various video game homages? Of course!

And the big friggin ribbon on the whole thing: John. C. Mutherlovin Reilly. My most favoritest actor.

Stoked. Super stoked.

Whoops!

Well, Disney's CG animated movies finally won me over with "Tangled", so I'm none the less psyched for it.

I also like that Jane Lynch is in it...and that her character looks just like her...and that she's basically Sue Sylvester in a Space Marine suit.

Fixed that for you.

Also I hope when the movie tie-in game for this comes out, they included the "Fix-it Felix" game as content. Not just a level based off of it, but a seperate 8-bit era-ish game.

I'm not a fan of people "fixing" quotes. But whatever...

That game is going to be a true shame as there's no way it would be able to feature all of those cameos.
But if they some how worked it out to do so I would be truly surprised.

And I still wouldn't play it as movie games suck with little exception.

Also I hope if they give Eggman any lines they use his normal voice actor; since he's one of the few in the room that actually does have a voice in his games.

I'm curious how involved the licensed characters will be with the actual plot. Obviously, the original/parody characters will be the stars, but it would be pretty awesome if one of the licensed characters stuck around withthe group or whatever (like how Barbie and Ken were primary supporting characters in Toy Story 3).

From some of the promotional stills as well as that trailer, we may be seeing a plot of Q-Bert. And that's awesome.

Though I kind of have my fingers crossed for a surprise Mario cameo where he gives Ralph some touching words of wisdom or something near the end. God, that would be hilarious.

^ She's actually played a wide array of characters. The grandma from Talladega Nights was sorta half Sue though, the manager from 40 Year Old Virgin, she was in some other stuff...she's not always like that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-waspy.gif)

And Cheets...you know that Eggman is his original name right? I find myself calling him both from time to time...

I personally like the idea that Eggman is the 'identity' and Ivo Robotnik is the name - which I think is the unified story since, what? Adventure?

I personally think that western audiences are only as hung up on it being 'Botnik because of the cartoons. Also the Eggman Empire has a solid ring to it.
