It was also instituted because the difference between Mega and Ultra was, word-wise, not very obvious.
That's also why Super got axed in favor of Leader. -------------------- ![]() |

BASIC/DELUXE/MEGA/ULTRA/SUPREME 4 LYFE You say that, but Basics/Scouts don't exist as part of the mainline any more - the closest equivalent (Cyberverse Cmdr) is now the large class of the small-scale line. Which, of course, makes "Deluxe" a nonsense title, since how can the most basic type of toy in the line be "Deluxe"? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-waspy.gif) And "Mega" and "Ultra" aren't nouns in common usage, so talking about "a mega" or "an ultra" just sounds weird (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-arcee.gif) You're missing the point. -------------------- Signature removed for being way too awesome.

What is your point, then? [Other than a generic "their old stuff was better" gripe, that is.] |

That's also why Super got axed in favor of Leader. And now Leader's been axed in favor of Weaponizer! (I don't see Voyagers going anywhere though: the $20-$25 price-point is used in almost every major toy-line: if Hasbro gives it up, it'll be because everyone else has too.) -------------------- Being part of any fandom is fundamentally embarassing.

And now Leader's been axed in favor of Weaponizer! Prove it. Because I'm pretty sure this thread is about that kind of thing NOT happening. -------------------- |

And now Leader's been axed in favor of Weaponizer! Prove it. Because I'm pretty sure this thread is about that kind of thing NOT happening. Well, the Bumblebee packaging did say "Weaponizer Class" on it, but nowhere did it say "Leader Class". But more importantly, the Prime "Weaponizer" class toys are not Leader class toys. It's a new size class entirely. The Weaponizers seem to be a bit smaller, and MUCH MUCH simpler than the Leaders, coming in at a $30 price point, and not a $45 one as Leaders were. This is of course assuming that the information at toyfair was accurate and reported accurately. With no more movie line, Generations only being deluxes, and Prime seeming to have "Weaponizers" but not Leaders, it would seem that the Leader size class died with Ironhide... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-screamer.gif) -------------------- Ah, Vehicons... EXTERMINATE!...yes.

Jerry Jivoin told me himself at Toy Fair! ...along with the whole 'Powerizers/Revealers aren't the new names for Voyagers/Deluxes'.
