Heh. I just tried and they's all booked up already for that rate. So it begins.

The problem is that only one day comes up as booked up. Sunday night, IIRC? So it will tell you that you can't reserve the block for that rate because the one date is messing up. I called on the phone and got them to do it, but I'm paying the normal rate for Sunday night, which is $20 extra. I'll switch that over later, I guess, or try to, after they get things sorted out.

Yeah, reserved right after the Hall of Fame dinner. Had to phone my brother in Tenneesse to get me the number and I'm in. The fact that I left when they started re-showing the tribute vids might've had something to do with it.

"The invasion has begun."? Uncolored faction symbols? A second Shattered Glass set?

I'm hoping that it's the final exodus from the dissolving Gobots Universe into Primax proper, as shown in some of the OTFCC fictions (it's explained that the destruction of Unicron in the Marvel Comics toy line caused the parallel reality that was Challenge of the Gobots to collapse). So far, a half-dozen refugees have escaped into the Classics-verse storyline, with more undoubtedly on their way. This could be what the "Invasion" is...

If they do White Mocha's digibash of Transformers Animated figures into Gobots, I'd buy that and proudly display it with my Classics. The different aesthetic works perfectly for displaying the difference between Gobots and Transformers.

Just got the email that the second block of rooms is up, but already I can't get the rate, because it looks like there's an issue with staying through until Monday or Tuesday.

speaking of hall of fame dinner... Back in the day at Botcon 2000, i attended the fan appreciation dinner on Friday night with Rockman666 and his wife( don't remember her online handle anymore ), and we all recieved these Fan appreciation dinner plates. as far as i know, there is only like 300 of these in exsistence, but i could be wrong about that number. To find out the exact number, you would have to write to Jon or Karl Hartman or Glen Hallit...

I am selling mine. with the original box, signed by most of the "special guest" voice actors from that convention. the plate has never been removed from the plastic, and it is an incredible work of art

I sure hope I can make the 2011 con now. I just got a chance to apply for an assistant principal job for a high school with about 3000 students and if I get it, we'll be doing graduation that weekend. Hmmm. More money or Botcon? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon-fire.gif)

Dear Botcon,

Come back to the Midwest for once. RI, FL, and now CA? I mean, Ohio was close, but how about a Botcon Twin Cities? That would be rockin'.

There was one there.

I will never drive that far again, hopefully.

We had Cincinnati in 2008. That's not that long ago. It was in Kentucky in 2006, and the OTFCCs were in Chicago in 03 and 04.

Don't get me wrong, I'd sure like it in my backyard again too, but every 2-3 years is plenty often to go to the same general area. I'll actually go ahead and give FunPub some credit here for mixing it up pretty darn well overall.
