Hm. The packaging is nicer than I was led to believe... I was expecting a more generic box. On the other hand, the inner packaging is certainly budget-conscious. I wonder if all the Voyagers will be windowboxes, or just Optimus.

The Micron names don't really make much sense: Obi is Prime's, Beats is Bumblebee's, Swell? Tsuwell? (tsu-e-ru), is Cliff's, Arue (huh?) is Ratchet's, Gora is Megatron's (that one makes sense- GO-ri-RA), Baro for Skywarp. They're not all random English words, but what sound like parts of Japanese words, maybe?

The microns come on sprues? Wow, between that and the stickers, these are very old-school. It's a dramatic shift from the extra paint and higher packaging values we often see in Takara toys. I wonder why the change. Are these prices lower at retail?

Whole bunch of pictures of Starscream. I wonder if people still think he has a face swap gimmick because insider TCracker said he does? The face looks a bit too dark, but that may be the lighting. I'm hoping it's a touch lighter in person. Definitely an improvement over the green one and the awful white one. Randy Edit: The face color looks perfect here, it's the bad lighting that made it look too dark.

So, do his intakes tilt forward anymore? It looks like the pin in still there, but every pic I see has them where they should be for jet mode. I liked that little feature.

The instructions actually tell you to swing the intakes back for the coronation gear. They get in the way of the crown otherwise. |
