The Allspark is a community of people who've come together from many different locations and backgrounds in order to talk about issues and interests held in common. The tie that binds us together is Transformers, a subject that has brought great enjoyment to people ever since its debut in 1984. Despite its primary subject of conversation, the Allspark community, however, doesn't limit itself to Transformers: we have a variety of forums in which to discuss virtually everything from video games and comic books to more heady topics such as politics and religious debate; additionally, we often announce special events for Allsparkers. As said by one of our founding members so long ago: "Welcome to the Allspark: We've got fun and games!"

The Allspark is composed of many people from many different backgrounds. Some of our members have been involved in the online Transformers fandom since its very inception with listserv newsgroups like alt.toys.transformers, or early text-based MUSH and MUD roleplaying games. Still others got into the online thing only recently and found out that the toys they knew as children were hugely popular among their peers. Then we have representatives from the younger generation of Transfans introduced through Beast Wars, Beast Machines, Robots in Disguise, the Unicron Trilogy, Classics, Alternators, the 2007 live-action movie, Animated, and the upcoming Revenge of the Fallen. 

The Allspark was founded on November 11th, 1999, by Sh0ckwave and Optimus87, following a large number of unexplained banishments from Bottalk.com's Beast Machines board. The Allspark became a new home to most of the former Bottalk posters where they could discuss Transformers anew. After each wave of "purges" from Bottalk, it was not uncommon to find that most who were banned made their way to the Allspark. Today, the Allspark is one of the largest and most well-known Transformers communities on the web, boasting over 1000 actively posting members, a thriving community of art and fiction creators, a robust trade forum, as well as more image galleries, reviews, and fun-for-all content than you can shake a Matrix at.
