In an interview with IGN during the 2009 Screenwriters Expo, screenwriters Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci talked about their past works and answered some questions about Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. On the question of TF3, both said that the lack of time - several other projects going on at the moment - was another factor on preventing their involvement, thus leaving it to fellow writer Ehren Kruger.
