Late this year, Spielberg has the option to end his contract with Paramount early and reinvent DreamWorks into its own company. What does this have to do with Transformers? Well, if he does leave, it will leave a question of his rights to sequels of movies that he's made. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was of course one of those movies. So during negotiations to those rights two things can happen; he can take 'Transformers' with him, or the much, much, much more likely outcome, he'll be off the sequel.
