Transformers 2 Fake Poster Sometimes even Steven Spielberg can't get what he wants. Despite Spielberg's stated plans for the writing team of Alex Kurtman, Robert Orci and Ehren Kruger to finish the Transformers 2 screenplay before the threatened Writers Guild strike next week, Variety is reporting that the sequel did not make the list of projects ready to begin shooting.

Not on the pre-strike list is "Transformers 2," a sequel that is still being written. Labor talks will determine whether the visual effects-heavy film makes its projected June 26, 2009, release date.
