G.I. Joe Con have posted a video from the live script reading that took place on Sunday, April 7th in Indianapolis, Indiana. During the convention voice actors Bill Ratner and Mary McDonald-Lewis learned that the characters they voiced, Flint and Lady Jaye, had a daughter. (A daughter who Transformers fans might know a little bit better than G.I. Joe fans -- Marissa Fairborn.) this then led to the two wanting to do a live script reading where they find out that baby Marissa will be on her way.
The Official Transformers Collectors' Club has begun shipping their milestone 50th issue. On the cover is Depthcharge and all the other TCC exclusives in an homage to Marvel's 25th Anniversary covers. Also inside is our first look at Generations Hoist! Hoist is a retool and redeco of Generations Trailcutter featuring a new head sculpt and crane / weapon. Also inside is a look at the BotCon 2013 figures in which Obsidian is now (finally) featuring cartoon colors rather than the toy based colors shown previously on BotCon's website. Also inside is news that the TCC will be carrying eHOBBY Magnificus for $90. Also featured is the latest issue of Beast Wars Shattered Glass, bios for BW Grimlock and BW2 Dirge, and the Transformers IQ and Recordicon features.
Though some what of a rare occurrence in this day an age, a new test shot has appeared revealing an upcoming Beast Hunters figure. The test shot is of Beast Hunters Megatron. Beast Hunters Megatron is a heavily retooled Transformers Prime Voyager Megatron with several new parts.
Alfes' is at it again, this time with another release from March 30th, 2013 - Encore 23 Fortress Maximus! Fortress Maximus is a reissue of the Japanese release (featuring the two exclusive Master Swords) of the original Fortress Maximus. Fortress Maximus now features painted eyes and painted detailing on his larger Master Sword, rather than the original's stickers.
Masterpiece MP-10B Black Convoy is now starting to hit Japanese retailers and Alfes' Blog has photos of this latest Masterpiece release. Black Convoy is a redeco of the latest Masterpiece Convoy / Optimus Prime in black, teal, red, and gray. Unlike the previous MP-10, MP-10B does not feature the Trailer or any of the related accessories. Black Convoy does however come with his blaster, his energy axe, and his own version of the matrix.
Hi-res scans of the latest issue of Figure King No. 182 have surfaced at Toy-World.com.hk. Though we saw some scans of this issue earlier in the month, this is our first really good look at the upcoming Transformer items. The scans include the first wave of Transformers Go! figures, Masterpiece Prowl and Streak, Generations Data Discs, the RotF Megatron statue, red BAPE Convoy, and GT exclusive calendars.
