TVShowsOnDVD has posted a new, final cover for the upcoming DVD release of the three-episode "movie" that kicked off Transformers Animated. Last month they had temporary artwork that called the release simply "Transformers Animated: Movie," but the new version uses the title seen onscreen, "Transformers Animated: Transform And Roll Out." The character artwork on the cover has also completely changed.
The 70-minute DVD is due out on June 17th. Read the press releases and see the cover art at TVShowsOnDVD. |

Philadelphia: City of Brotherly Love, the nation's first capital, home of the cheesesteak, birthplace of the American Revolution... and in 2009, place where that one big robot beats the poop out of that other big robot while that kid from Indiana Jones 4 kisses the pretty girl and stuff blows up. SuperHero Hype! reports that during an appearance on local Philly radio by Sharon Pinkenson, executive director of the Great Philadelphia Film Office, she listed Transformers 2 as one of the upcoming projects set to film in the Pennsylvania city.
So, locals, keep an eye out for extras casting calls starting in June... you may get a chance to spend a day being crushed under a big metal foot, or at least a chance to watch a whole bunch of people act afraid of a tennis ball at the end of a pole. Read the story on SuperHero Hype!, and continue discussion of this and all things TF2 in our Movie Forum. |

While they still haven't been officially unveiled at BotCon.com, photos of two upcoming BotCon 2008 "Shattered Glass" exclusives keep popping up all over. Today brings more images of the Deluxe-class Rodimus and Sideswipe (or possibly Drench, or maybe even Wheeljack).
Rodimus gets a full gallery over at the Chinese message board ACtoys.net, and Drenchswipe is up in another eBay auction, sadly still only in car mode... but at least featuring a shot of the undercarriage, confirming the lighter color of many of the robot parts. The same seller also has bagged versions of many of the other exclusives. Thanks to TFW2005 for finding Rodimus, and Bass X10 for Drenchswipe. |

Ebay seller jennyni1984, that same seller that had Universe Classics Series Sunstreaker, now has auctions for Prowl and Tankor (or Octane) in package! So catch a glimpse at what these figures will look like on card, and possibly read their bios if you can squint hard enough. For those interested in Classics weapons compared to the G1 weapons, Prowl's Acid Pellet Gun is now an Acid Blaster, and Tankor now has a Melee Blade rather than a flame thrower and reflecto-shield.
Click here to see Prowl's auction and here to see Tankor. Thanks to TFW2005.com for the links! |

While the nominal season 2 premiere episode "The Elite Guard" will air this Saturday morning, the following Saturday, April 19, will have the regular 10:30 Eastern and Pacific/9:30 Central and Mountain timeslot filled with the one-hour premiere of Ben 10: Alien Force, according to Zap2It's listing for that week. Chances are the show will return to its regularly scheduled airtime the week of April 22, but the listing are not available for that week, and won't be until this coming Saturday. The Allspark will post an update as soon as there is word regarding the next new episode! |

BigBadToyStore has put up pre-order listings for the next two reissues in the Transformers Encore series. Or, to be precise, the next three reissues: Autobot cityformer Metroplex (#11) and a twin-pack of Decepticon seekers Thundercracker and Skywarp (#12)! These represent the first mass-market Japanese reissues of all three toys (Metroplex is being reproduced as a bootleg, and Thundercracker and Skywarp were officially reissued as limited-edition exclusives a few years ago).
Visit BigBadToyStore to see the listings and, if you're so inclined, place your orders: Metroplex here, Thundercracker/Skywarp here. Thanks to Engledogg for bringing us the news in this thread! |
