A new hire joins the Hasbro Studios team! Kathy Samuels (Rachel Ray, Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood) will be coming on board as Executive Producer.
“I've had the great fortune to work on some of the best brands in television,” Samuels said. “However, as a working mom, I've always had a personal and professional passion to make great television for kids, and in the kid and family arena, Hasbro owns and has access to the best brands in the business. I see Hasbro Studios as a perfect fit for my skills and interests, and it presents me with a wonderful opportunity.” Click here to read the entire press release!

The EZ Collection (Legends) Devastator produced for their Revenge of the Fallen line is getting a make over in G1 colors. TakaraTomy is releasing the 7 Constructicons in the familiar green and purple in March of 2010. No words yet if these will be single packed like the original EZ Collection versions, or in a gift set similar to the Hasbro release of the original version.

For those that listened into the four-hour Hasbro Investor Relations Webcast, you already know that it focused more on facts and figures than, well, action figures. Wacky investors. However, there was some Transformers-related news to grab onto:
- 2010 will bring with it a Transformers promotion called "Hunt for the Decepticons" - Hasbro has acquired the Micronauts ("Microman" in Japan) brand and look forward to including its rich story in various media forms - Advertising for the new JV (joint venture) Network with Discovery will begin in February - 10-12 new programs are currently in production for JV Network - The only new program they could comment on was My Little Pony. Lauren Faust of Power Puff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends will head up the MLP media. - Robert Orci and Alex Kurtzman are among those writing for Hasbro Studios media
