BotCon's Facebook page has posted a photo of a production sample for their convention exclusive Strika figure! For those unfamiliar with the exclusive, Strika is a repaint/remold of the Generations Warpath figure.
Strika will be available in the "Machine Wars: Termination" box set - alongside Obsidian, Megaplex, Skywarp, and Hoist - which is exclusive to the BotCon 2013 convention taking place later this month.
Takara Tomy designers Hisashi Yuki and Shogo Hasui have taken to Twitter to share a few images of upcoming Transformers releases in Japan. Hisashi Yuki has tweeted out a trio of new images for the Generations Ratbat figure (a repaint remold of Generations Scourge), while Shogo Hasui has tweeted out a comparison image of Masterpieces Tigertrack and Sideswipe.
The Allspark staff has been hard at work scanning, translating, and editing the 1 shot comic "Transformers GT: Mission GT-R" for your viewing pleasure! This manga features the 4 GT racers and Safety Prime as they head for the finish line!
Also the Allspark staff has been hard at work taking photos of the Transformers GT GT01 Prime and Misaki and GT02 Saber and Anna figures just released in Japan! These figures are among the first of TakaraTomy's GT line.
Hasbro has revealed their SDCC 2013 Exclusives. Though the Transformers brand exclusive has yet to be revealed, as in the past they tend to be revealed after the majority of exclusives, Transformers fans may want to check out the G.I. Joe SDCC Exclusive. As in the past 2 years, the G.I. Joe SDCC Exclusive is Transformer themed. The exclusive features a Sky Striker in the colors of Jetfire with a newly tooled Fast Pack, a VAMP decoed as Hound, Baroness with Ravage, a mini version of Blaster and his Recordibots, as well as an alternate version of Snake Eyes.
BotCon have updated their Facebook page with a photograph of the Botcon 2013 Box Set of exclusive toys! Yes, a photograph rather than a digital mock-up! The set, which has been titled "Machine Wars: Termination", includes Obsidian, Strika, Skywarp, Hoist, and Megaplex.
BotCon.com has announced the 17th guest that will be attending this month's convention: Glenn Morshower! You might remember the actor from his appearances in all three Transformers movies - Colonel Sharp in the first movie, General Morshower in RotF and DotM - or maybe you've seen the footage of him as General Morshower prepping "recruits" for Transformers: The Ride.
Also, the Artist Alley has grown by one - IDW colorist Joana LaFuente will be joining the other artists. That makes 22 artists total!
Who doesn't love a good game of soccer? (Or "football" for the rest of the world.) Well, it's Autobots versus Decpticons, and it looks like Mixmaster got the yellow card, with Bumblebee ready to do a penalty kick and Airachnid as the goalie. Being that they don't always play by the rules, the Constructicons forms into Devastator to block the shot, which earns them the dreaded red card from the referee. Which they promptly ignore, in a fashion.
TFcon 2013 have just announced their next guest: the original voice of Blackarachnia, Venus Terzo! The voice actor will take part in Q&A panels as well as autograph sessions.
Transformers designer Hisashi Yuki has tweeted out a new image of the upcoming Takara Tomy release of Generations Ratbat! The toy, for those not familiar, is a repaint/remold of the Generations Scourge mold in purple with a head sculpt mimicking the "Senator Ratbat" look from the comics.
For those living in Japan and import folks, heads up! Million Publishing's just announced via Twitter that they'll be releasing Transformers Generations 2013! At the moment, the only known detail is that the book is scheduled for a late July release this year. The blog entry apologizes for keeping people waiting and that details will be forthcoming through their Twitter feed, their blog, and the book's official site (which is under construction).
