Kabaya Candy Transformers Wave 2!
Written by Powered Convoy
Monday, 23 August 2010
Eat the candy not me!
Nutritious
Some months ago Kabaya released their first wave of Transformers transformable candy kits.  These kits were scaled down versions of popular Autobot Leaders in snap together colored model kits.  The first wave consisted of G1 Convoy (Optimus Prime), G1 Star Saber, and Henkei Convoy (Optimus Prime).  New images of the next wave of figures have appeared, and the second wave consists kits based on 6" Titanium Series Ultra Magnus, Henkei Prowl, and Henkei Skyfire (Jetfire).  They are set release on 9/29/2010.

New Masterpiece Rodimus Prime Images
Written by Powered Convoy
Monday, 23 August 2010

Some new images of the upcoming TakaraTomy Transformers Masterpiece Rodimus Prime (Rodimus Convoy in Japan) have surfaced. These images come from the October issue of Dengeki Hobby Magazine provided by Ngee Khiong. The photos give us some good views of the robot and truck mode, as well as some of the figure's features including a flip down visor (like Hot Rod used in the 1986 film) and gunner station. Still no confirmation if the figure contains a Hot Rod (Hot Rodimus) mode.

You can view the image here, and discuss them on our forums.  Thanks to えーりん!えーりん! for the news.

Airachnid - A Predacon?
Written by NightViper
Sunday, 22 August 2010

A little while back (as in December of last year), Hasbro filed a new trademark for the name "Airachnid", and fans were at a loss as to who or what it was a reference to. Now though comes another piece of the puzzle! The United Stated Patent and Trademark Office document has been amended with a symbol above the name. A symbol that should be recognizable to most fans as the Beast Wars Predacon shield! (With very minor differences in style).

Transformers Animated Electromagnetic Soundwave Revealed
Written by NightViper
Saturday, 21 August 2010

But will he ever come out?

Thanks again to Hasbro's online instruction library, we have a glance at a new figure. Just this time, it might not actually ever be released! Although the image is black and white, it looks as though Electromagnetic Soundwave uses the character's white and blue color scheme from the Animated episode "Human Error".

You can see the instructions here, and then discuss them here in Octavius Prime's thread!

Eat it Bumblebee!
My Sunday Best
Earlier today we mentioned that Million Publishing is releasing a Japanese Transformers Animated Encyclopedia.  Like their previous books there is an exclusive figure you can mail away for; Elite Guard Optimus Prime.  The silhouette was that of the Wing Blade version, but it appears to be the normal Voyager Optimus in a color scheme similar to the Elite Guard EZ Collection Optimus figure.

The Transformers Animated Encyclopedia is due for release on August 26.  You can discuss the news on our forums.  Credit:  SoS
