TFW2005 member Ricochet recently uploaded a new image showing off the details on Trans-Scanning Optimus Prime and Wonderfest 2008 G1 Colored Arcee!  You finally get a good look at the robot modes for both upcoming figures.  As of now these figures have not been announced for a non-TakaraTomy release.

Following yesterday's images of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Premium Series figures in package comes an eBay auction for Premium Megatron! This figure will feature metallic paint similar to the Best Buy Voyager Megatron, but will also sport a new head sculpt that is a little bit more movie accurate.

Japanese Transformers fans site Fan To Fan has receive a booklet promoting TakaraTomy's new Transformers HenKei line (Japan-only repaints of Hasbro's Classics line). The booklet gives detailed images of the figures, as well as provides a short introductory comic!

If on Decepticon turf you happen to tumble, look out now, 'cuz here comes Rumble! Diamond Select Toys has announced its next Transformers bust in its e-Spectrum newsletter that it sends out to Radical members--it's none other than our favorite Decepticon cassette, Rumble! Well, Rumble and his fellow micro-cassette Ratbat! The bust will be limited to 1,000 pieces and, if the comic book art that accompanies the article is to be believed, will be another point for RIRFIB advocates!

The nominees for the 2008 Academy Awards have just been announced! Did Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen have what it takes to get it into Oscar contention? The answer is an astounding...maybe. It's been given three nominations for:

Achievement in Sound Editing
Achievement in Sound Mixing
Achievement in Visual Effects

It's going against some big name movies in each of the categories, so wish it the best of luck! You can see all of the nominations here! And don't forget to watch February 24th to see if Transformers will win in any of the listed categories!

And as a side, slightly more humorous note, John Voight has been nominated for a Golden Raspberry for his work in several movies, including Transformers! He's up against some strong competition for "Worst Supporting Actor" though, as Orlando Bloom, Kevin James, Eddie Murphy and Rob Schneider are also up for the coveted Raspberry!

Those of you up on your Transformers comic books know that IDW will be releasing Transformers Spotlight: Blaster tomorrow, so Simon Furman has updated his blog with a few comments about the issue!
