Big Bad Toy Store has contacted Seibertron regarding the news of KO Metroplexes:
This is James over at BBTS (posting on behalf of Joel)
We have checked all of our stock and everything we have is legit and we are 100% certain we have no knockoffs because we buy from dealers we trust that get product directly from Takara. We were approached by the cheap 3rd party company that makes the knockoffs and we declined to buy them.
If you guys could spread this info around the boards we'd appreciate it since we don't post/read on all the Transformer boards.
Thanks and Happy Holidays from everyone at BBTS!
Click here for Seibertron's original and then sound off (more) at our thread here on the issue. |

There are some reports that the Encore-12 Metroplex received are actually KOs, which should be a warning to other Encore Metroplex owners. Loopydetails.com and Famitoy Blog has comparison pictures of a real Encore Metroplex and the KO, so better hope you didn't toss the packaging and anything else that came with the big guy.

We knew C-21--Smokescreen--would more than likely be coming due to his Universe release. However, C-20 was a bit less predictable. That release slot will be held for none other than the Autobot Security Director, Red Alert! The only image for him currently seems to be Photoshop of Lambor (Sideswipe) so it is yet unclear if he will be getting a light bar or the engine block accessory. Although for Autobot emergency vehicle fans, this news probably eclipses any accessory concerns at the moment!

Last week news came of an upcoming reissue release of Transformers G1 Cassettes Ravage, Laserbeak, Rewind, and Eject as well as Henkei releases of the Universe Legends (Minicar) figures. We now have some more details on these releases. The Cassette reissue set is dubbed Encore 15 Casette Daisakusen (Big Mission) Vol.1. The Vol. 1 may hint at future Cassette releases based on this episode. Also Henkei Minibot Attack Team will feature Cliffjumper (instead of Bumblebee), Beachcomber, and Brawn while the Spy Team will feature Warpath Wheelie and Cosmos. This will mark the first release of Cliffjumper in the Henkei line (a red Classics Bumblebee redeco was never released for this line). The Minibots are also said to sport more cartoon accurate details than their Hasbro counterparts.
You can view the Cassette, Spy Team, and Attack Team listings at e-Hobby (in Japanese). You can view the original source of information here, and discuss the news here. |

Scans of February 2009 issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine have surfaced, showing new images of the upcoming Masterpiece Grimlock and Alternity Megatron figures due out first quarter of 2009. These images give us some better shots of Alternity Megatron showing his detail. They also give us our first look at the eye switching feature on Masterpiece Grimlock. The article also shows his rifle as well as a swappable Autobot symbol (that when switched hides his symbol from view).
In a bit of bad news, Allspark poster Buster Darkwings has revealed that Masterpiece Grimlock will in fact not come with the comic book inspired crown accessory.
You can click here for the original source, here for the image in our forums, here for the crown news, and here to discuss all this news. |

Tyrese Gibson recently gave an exclusive to Movie Web on tidbits regarding "Revenge of the Fallen" after a good draught of hearing from any cast or crew. Other than repeating that his character Robert Epps getting promoted, he STILL won't tell anything about which Transformer is showing up:
"No. I can't. I'm sorry. It's all secrets. Its way more robots. There are a whole bunch of new robots that the world is going to be introduced to. There is going to be way more action sequences. All of the stuff that goes on is really insane."

S250 of 52Toys.com has a pic of Animated Strika's alt-mode, looking to rival Lugnut's P.O.K.E. in terms of explosive force. Like two of her current Decepticon cohorts Blitzwing and Lugnut, her alt-mode is quite the military hardware.
