The Hollywood Reporter.com has an article covering the first awards for branded entertainment, One Show honoring creative excellence in a new field. While the One Show Entertainment Awards have focused on excellence of advertising, this year's awards will be a first on focusing branded entertainment. One example used was Paramount/Dreamworks' Transformers, branded entertainment in mainstream movies and a finalist for the awards in the Film category under Theatrical Release.
As a good example of branded entertainment involving mainstream movies, Warlick pointed to "'Transformers' (the 2007 blockbuster from DreamWorks and Paramount directed by Michael Bay and starring Shia LaBeouf), which sold a lot of toys for Hasbro. Hasbro knew what they were doing, but I think the (tremendous) success of that film both as an action movie and as a launch vehicle for these toys probably surprised everybody."
Read the rest of the article here and One Show's main site here with a list of the finalists.

Regarding the various "leaked" info pertaining to Transformers Animated Season 3, character designer Derrick Wyatt had this to say:
A quick note about Rodimus, Cyclonus and season 3 in general. Take everything you guys are reading on the boards with a grain of salt. ALL the people posting spoilers that I have read so far have been putting up inaccurate info. Some WAY off. Even those with Hasbro connections and posters who have been a good source of information in the past seem to have gotten some REALLY bad info. Read here for his original comment at his blog. |

A member of TF08.net has gotten a hold of a 25th Anniversary toy and posted images of both him and Ravage in both their molds! Although Hound is mistransformed, and Ravage blends stealthily into the dark brown table, this is still a fairly good look at each of the figures!

They also have a few new images of the silver Convoy too, so you can compare the two to decide which you like better, or if you need both!

While Shia LaBeouf won't be prosecuted with DUI charges for his July 27 car crash in Hollywood due to insufficient evidence, his license may be suspended six to nine months for refusing a breathalyser test as per California driving laws. For that, he may be headed to a DMV hearing but that isn't a court hearing nor is it opened to the public.

Voice actor legend Peter Cullen is back to work as Optimus Prime for Revenge, according to MTV Movie Blog. So far, Michael Bay has brought him in for some of the animation before they'll "get into the main stuff more towards the end of the fall…November, perhaps.” While again he remains off-camera, he'll have a home when the animators synchronize Optimus' mouth with his - “they focus a camera on my mouth. It’s like ‘Oh my God, they’re looking into my mouth!’ It’s like going to the dentist.”
