Via the 2005Boards comes yet another new Transformers: The Movie TV spot. In this bit of footage, in addition to getting to see Blackout transform again and see Bonecrusher transform (and chew up pavement) on the highway, we also learn that overpasses are vulnerable to extensive damage from Transformers, that Megatron is still quite pointy... and that, in the words of Anthony Anderson's character, killer robots are really distracting. Get distracted here at YouTube, and then register your comments here in lonegamer8's thread. |

Mikaela, I'm scared.
Hold me closer, Sam. Ooooh yeah, baby... Okay, so the thumbnail you see isn't really the most interesting part of the new Transformers: The Movie "one-sheet" revealed by Ain't It Cool News, but this poster featuring Mikaela, Sam, and Optimus Prime really is best experienced in its full glory. Click here to see the hi-res image on their page, or discuss it in our forums in this thread . |

As many of you know from viewing our handy Upcoming Appearances thread in our Transformers: The Movie forum, Shia LaBeouf appeared on last night's episode of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Like most actors promoting huge summer blockbusters, he brought a clip with him, which a poster on the Superhero Hype boards had the forethought to record and digitize. You can view the clip by clicking on this thread. |

The car-porn crowd continues its understandable fascination with Transformers: The Movie. Truck Trend magazine has posted an article on their web site covering a test-drive of the customized GMC TopKick pickup truck that serves as Ironhide's alt-mode in the flick. Their verdict: It's big. Real big. Boy howdy, is that sucker ever big.
Check out the full article and illicit undercarriage photos at TruckTrend.com. |

We recently reported on some of the fan reactions to Transformers: The Movie at the Australian premiere. Now, the press from Down Under has begun to chime in, with coverage of the event and press conference. Naturally, there's a focus on Australia's own Rachel Taylor, who plays the totally geeky yet improbably hot Maggie in the movie. |

The Los Angeles Times has a story about this summer's OTHER big movie competition: the one on the toy aisles. The article considers tie-in toys for Pirates of the Caribbean, Shrek, Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, and Transformers... and guess which one it expects to come out on top? "Transformers will be the biggest seller — it's a movie based on a line of toys that has been popular since the '80s," she said. "They have always been strong sellers but, because of the movie, they are coming back in a huge way."
And as for competition from, say, Shrek The Third: "How does a boy imagine he is a green ogre expecting a child? Why would he want to?" Read the full article on LATimes.com. |

A poster on the message board Celebutopia has shared some incredibly, wonderfully, astonishingly colossal images of CGI renders and stills from Transformers: The Movie. While some of these may look at first glance like poses we've seen before, their massive size allows us to see that the models have been re-rendered with new textures and incredible detail. Bumblebee looks as though he's been playing in a pit of gravel and rusty nails, and Megatron looks like he eats gravel and rusty nails for breakfast.
Check out the Trump-size images at Celebutopia. |

Interviews with the cast and crew of Transformers: The Movie continue to roll in at an almost alarming rate. Noted scientific journals are reporting that if the tide is not stemmed by the middle of July, Transformers interviews may become the dominant form of life on Earth. Humans would be forced to tunnel underground for survival, while the Transformers interviews run amok on the surface, bleeding the planet dry of all its natural resources and ultimately leaving it a charred, barren, lifeless rock. But don't worry about that now. Just check these out. |
