According to a poster at TFW2005 who has already received issue #17 of the Transformers Collectors' Club Magazine, the comic reveals who the final members of the Club Combiner will be. Apparently, there is an engraving of the combined mode of the robots in the background of the comic, which shows enough detail to identify the remaining members of the combiner.
Click here to see the original report and find out who these final two Transformers are. |

Our friend Maz at TF-1.com provides us with an in-depth look at a G2 Ramjet Desert Camo Mock-Up that he managed to get his hands on. The paint scheme for this figure never came to fruition, and the only evidence that it was even planned is some box art and a hand-painted sample.
Get a look at this toy-that-never-was here, and discuss it in Maz's thread here. |

Amazon.com has posted a short preview of a special feature from the Transformers: The Movie DVD set. The clip is from the "Inside The Allspark" featurette, and includes director Michael Bay, visual effects supervisor Scott Farrar, and other crew members discussing the visual effects behind the robots. Included are several before-and-after shots of robot scenes from the film. We also get to meet ILM animator Charles Alleneck, whose massive Transformers collection you may remember from Conan O'Brien's visit to Lucasfilm a few months back.
The clip is just under three minutes, and may or may not be the entire featurette. Click here to watch the video. Thanks to Nelson at Michael Bay's blog for pointing out the link! |

Simon Furman has updated his blog, this time talking about the upcoming IDW Spotlight: Blaster comic book. He discusses just what character the Autobot will most resemble; the Blaster from the cartoon or the Blaster from the Comics. The short answer is neither, yet both.
The answer is neither, or maybe an amalgam of the two with a new twist, however you want to look at it. The whole point with these character Spotlights (and the IDW TF-verse in general) is that you don’t ever get quite what you were expecting. If it’s been done before, the rule of thumb is, don’t do it again (or don’t do it the same way). To read the entire entry click here, it does get a little spoiler-y as he goes more in depth about this new, yet familiar, Blaster. |
