A Ukrainian rock band called Solarice has recently recorded a cover of the Transformers theme song. Mixed in throughout the song a few voice clips, some of which came from our very own Daniel "Mouth04" Ross!
You can hear the song at their Myspace page here and discuss the song in this thread on the Allspark. |

A pre-order has appeared on EzyDVD.com for the Australian DVD release of Transformers: The Movie. Not only does it give us an Australian release date and a peek at what may be the extras available on other releases of the disc, the limited edition packaging also "transforms" into a 15" tall Optimus Prime!
The 2-disc DVD set, set for Australian release on November 1, includes: - Limited Edition "Transforming" Packaging with Outer Plastic O-Ring Sleeve
- Deleted Scenes
- Audio Commentary by Director Michael Bay
- 4 Featurettes
- 2 In-Depth Making of Documentaries
- Interactive Content
- Easter Eggs
Again, this is strictly for the Australian edition, but this lends credence to the rumored October U.S. release date (Australian releases tend to come a week or more after the U.S.), and DVD features for major releases are often (but not always) the same in Australia and the U.S. However, packaging is often different, so this doesn't necessarily indicate anything about whether Optimus Prime will stand tall on your DVD shelf this winter. And for anyone considering importing, remember: you'll need a DVD player capable of playing Region 4, PAL formatted DVDs. Click here for the listing, images and info. Thanks to Seibertron and TFW2005 member Llamatron for the heads-up! |

When images first surfaced of MP-06 Masterpiece Skywarp's packaging, a shot was featured of 3 familar F-15 Fighter Jets. Front and center was MP-06 Skywarp, to his right was MP-03 Starscream, and to his left was a blue F-15 flying along side them.
Thanks to Hobby Link Japan we have a close up look at this image, showing what we may have in store for us if and when TakaraTomy decides to produce a Masterpiece Thundercracker. You can view the original image at HLJ or in our galleries. You can also discuss the image in this thread on our boards. |

Entertainment Earth has updated their preorder pages with some listings that should cause many a collector to breathe a sigh of relief. Through the end of the year, they expect Hasbro to continue to release wave after wave of "revised" Transformers: The Movie case assortments--giving everyone another crack at elusive figures like Concept Bumblebee and Arcee, newly released toys like Leader Brawl, and even many of the early deluxes that have been sold out at most retailers for the last month.
Credit for this bit of good news goes to Fosterlager at TFW2005, who also provided handy links to all the individual case preorder pages. |

A while ago, G4 and Jumpcut teamed up to present a contest in which contestants remixed select Transformers video clips. The winner of that contest was TFW2005 member James Zahn and the prize that he was awarded was a hand-crafted by Hasbro, two of a kind Optimus Prime movie toy covered in shiny chrome! Both figures came attached to a stand, one in robot mode the other as a truck. Also provided was a display box for the figures.
You can see the contest page and James Zahn's winning video here and you can check out the action figure prize in TFW2005's gallery here.
