Japanese moviegoers will have the opportunity to take part in a special promotion with Transformers: The Movie ticket purchases: a specially constructed metallic-colored version of the 1974-style Bumblebee with tickets purchased via pre-order.  Lawson, a convenience store chain in Japan, will be holding the promotion via their Loppi Goods ticket kiosks.  For 3990 yen (roughly $35 USD) you get a movie ticket and the Bumblebee figure.  Another package is available for 1890 yen, and with it come two cloisonné pins featuring the Autobot and Decepticon emblems.

Want To See The New Movie On July 3rd? PDF Print E-mail

Thanks to Matrix Prime for posting a thread about a new note from Michael Bay, director of the upcoming Transformers: The Movie, on his blog, about the reaction to the trailer yesterday.  Of particular interest is a push to get the movie released a day early, on July 3rd.

"Hey, i want to thank everyone for the kind words on the trailer. I'm so used to seeing robots I kind of got bored with the trailer. I forget you have not seen them. When they put the piece together I kept wanting to show our truly awesome shots - but we didn't. I can without a doubt, say we have just teased you on this trailer. We have so many huge shots that will never be in our ads. I bet this will be one of the rare trailers that does not show you the true money shots of the movie.

I would also like fans opinion on opening on July 3rd instead of the 4th. The studio kind of sort of is thinking about which might mean "no". If you spread the word on the Net - everywhere - they might listen. The 3rd everyone is off from work, I say "what the %^\$" play the movie - "give'em giant %^#&ng robot early"!!!

Bay"

Our own PiratedTVPro went to see Shrek III last night, and he reports that the Transformers: The Movie trailer attached to it is definitely different from the one recently shown on Yahoo! .  While the two trailers start the same way, the Shrek III trailer is "definitely focused on the Alt Modes," in his words.

Visit his thread in the Movie Forums for more details.

A while ago, the mysterious and enigmatic AgentX informed the world that Yahoo's "lies" would be spread around noon on Thursday, May 17-- today.  Those lies are now available for public viewing on Yahoo's Summer Movies site, which can be accessed here.  Believe the lies July 4, when Transformers: The Movie hits theaters everywhere.  An additional trailer with about 5-10 seconds of footage not seen on the Yahoo! version (apparently to be shown with Shrek The Third instead of Spider-Man 3) is available at Cybertron Phillippines, thanks to Firstpredacon and crew! You can discuss the new trailer on our forums here.
