A member of TFW2005 has received his copy of the December/January Transformers Collectors' Club Magazine, and he's posted some very interesting (and possibly disappointing) information from the issue. First off, there's been a delay in the release of the Animated toys. They will now be out on shelves in June instead of the earlier first quarter estimate we heard before. Next is is a description of Stealth Bumblebee. This figure will use the Concept Camaro body, but will have a re-sculpted head to match Bumblebee's battle mask he used in the Transformers: The Movie! And lastly, the next Club combiner limb will be called "Topspin" and, as expected, will use the helicopter mold from Energon Bruticus Maximus.
You can see the original report here, and discuss this news on the Allspark here. *UPDATE* A new bit of news from the latest issue of the Club Magazine reveals that the Gestalt Combiner Head will be All New! Read the news here. |

Seibertron.com is reporting that the latest issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine contains a blurb about Encore Ratchet and Ironhide. Apparently these two will be given new, "anime-accurate" heads! Will these actually be sculpted or simply a new set of stickers? Looks like we'll have to wait for pictures to find out!
You can see Seibertron's report here, and discuss this here on the Allspark. *Update* There now is a scan of the blurb on ACToys.net that shows what looks to be Ironhide's new head. Click here to see the scan!

Botcon.com has updated with a brand new front page and a short Quicktime video unveiling the theme to this year's convention: Botcon 2008 promises that everything you know will be shattered. Darkened images of Cybertron Crosswise, Classics Optimus Prime and Cybertron Hot Shot adorn the new site. The video ends with a reversed "More than meets the eye!" riff from the G1 cartoon. Are we to be treated to a "Mirror Universe" Optimus Prime and crew? We'll find out soon!
Date and location are "coming soon", so be sure to check back there, as well as the Allspark, regularly! Thanks to Tim Mann and Phil Zeman for the heads up on this news. Check out the discussion on our forums here. |

In today's news, pigs are flying, Al Franken and Bill O'Reilly just got married, and Satan is hosting the Ice Capades. According to posts in the members-only Transformers Club forums, the 2008 Club comic will focus on TransTech, the proposed follow-up to Beast Machines that was scrapped way back around the turn of the century. The Club has even enlisted the artistic help of Ken Lashley of Draxhall Jump, the company that created numerous character design concepts for the aborted series, many of which are still viewable on their web site and our Image Gallery.
The Club also re-confirms the Seacons as a future exclusive, along with another yet-to-be-announced toy based on a male character and featuring a new headsculpt. Allsparker M Sipher brought us the news from the Club forums, and discussion continues in his thread. |

The Transformers: Battle Universe game for Hasbro's NetJet System seems like an odd place to reveal designs for the upcoming Transformers Animated toy line and show, but here we are. The game contains a number of locked characters that need a certain number of points to reveal. Two of these "hidden" characters are none other than Optimus Prime and Megatron from Transformers Animated! Moreover, they are seemingly the Earth modes for those characters, which we've seen very little of for Megatron.
To see a screen capture from the game of Animated Megatron in his alt mode, click here! Only time will tell how close this game model is to the actual design from the Animated line.
