A TFW2005 member has just reported finding the Transformers: The Movie Allspark Deluxe figures (a Target exclusive in the US) at a Toyworld in Australia. The figures were selling for $27.99 AUD (around $25 USD), but are out a month before they're slotted in the US! So Australian collectors, if you can stomach the price, you can be among the first to have these figures!
You can see the sighting here at TFW2005.com! |

With the release of HenKei Transformers (Japanese Classics) just 10 days away, website toysdaily has acquired a sample of the HenKei Convoy figure. Several hi-res photos of the figure are included. These photos give a close look of the differences made to this figure from it's well known Hasbro counterpart. Among one point of interest is silver paint used on the grill and bumper of this sample instead of chrome on this figure.
In a related topic, hi-res pictures of HenKei Astrotrain have shown up at amaimi.com. Though these pictures were revealed earlier, these are of a much higher quality revealing more detail of the figure.
You can view mirrored images in our galleries. Thanks to TFW2005 for the news here and here and you can discuss the images here. |

A poster at TFW2005 reports finding the "exclusive" Battle-Damaged Transformers: The Movie Deluxe-class Arcee at a Wal-Mart store in California, and has pictures to prove it. The toy was originally released as part of a Sam's Club-exclusive box set, and we've known for a while now that it was due for an individual release of some kind. Samples have turned up on eBay, and BigBadToyStore has the toy in stock.
The strange part is that we haven't yet heard what kind of "exclusive" the toy is, and the only part of the packaging that we knew differed from the standard card--the yellow "EXCLUSIVE! BATTLE-DAMAGE!" sticker seen on eBay and BBTS--wasn't present on the one found in Wal-Mart. It was reportedly just mixed in with "normal" Arcees on pegs, with the only apparent differences being the paint job and a UPC code that didn't ring up in the Wal-Mart register. Check out the full report and photos over at TFW2005. Hopefully another sighting will pop up soon to shed a little light on this mysterious figure... |

Hasbro's Transformers page has updated their website with some detailed information concerning the design choices of the recently released Wal-Mart Exclusive Off-Screen Movie Deluxes. Joe Kyde, the man responsible for choosing the colors on the exclusive deluxe figures, goes into detail as to why the colors for each figure were chosen. Ever wondered what Jolt was originally going to be named, or who Grindcore homages? Perhaps you are interested in the color choices for Divebomb? And who is this Big Daddy character?

When you've been in the Transformers fandom for a while, chances are you have some stories of your own in your head - whether those are stories that fit neatly in between the pages or in the commercial breaks of canon, or stories populated by original characters or set in alternate universes where canon is all but out the window. And for those who have stories, the Allspark has a place to share them: Chronicles of Cybertron, the fanfiction forum.
If it's family-friendly in accordance with the Allspark Forums' content policies, it's welcome here... and from now through the end of March, if it's a story of the Transformers experiencing culture shock on Earth, it's especially welcome in the monthly fanfic challenge. Click on the "Read More" link to see this month's challenge, and go here to visit the challenge at the Allspark Forums! |
